SeaArk Boats, builder of large, all-welded, aluminum boats has created a new camouflage pattern and put it on boats to help in the efforts to find the cures for breast cancer. SeaArk is working with the well known Susan G. Komen for the Cure® in this effort.
The Pink Camouflage pattern has been painted on six (6) 20-foot SeaArk Boats that are located in dealerships around the country. Made up of shades of light, medium, and dark pink on a cream base, the camouflage looks very similar to many popular camouflage patterns used on outdoor gear—but in pink! SeaArk has also added a pink ribbon with the SeaArk decal symbolizing breast cancer awareness.
The boats are SeaArk’s number one and number two best sellers, the RiverCat and Vee Cat models. These models are wide-bottom, heavy-duty fishing boats designed specifically for fishing on large rivers and lakes. The RiverCat features a 3-degree bottom, a 40-gallon livewell, 9-gallon baitwell, 30-gallon fuel tank, side console, large bow deck, and lots of interior room for fish and gear.
The Vee Cat is one of SeaArk’s 15-degree bottom models and is also designed for river and lake fishing, but with a deeper vee bottom. The Vee Cat offers a smoother ride in heavier chop. This model features a large rear deck that includes a 60-gallon livewell and storage boxes, a 30-gallon fuel tank, 9-gallon baitwell, side console, and large bow deck.
The Pink Camouflage SeaArk’s are for sale from selected dealers across the country, and SeaArk will donate the proceeds from each boat sold between now and December 31, 2008 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The location of the six (6) participating dealers are:
Florida | Louisiana | Missouri | Pennsylvania | Texas
Customers wishing to purchase other SeaArk models in the Pink Camouflage may do so for a limited time and a portion of the sale will be donated to Komen for the Cure. All authorized SeaArk dealers may order boats in the pink camouflage until December 31 for customers and a portion of the sale will be donated to Komen..
SeaArk Boats’ President, Robin McClendon, commented on the promotion, “Our entire team is so proud to be able to support the efforts to find the cures for breast cancer. Almost everyone knows someone who has been affected by it. We are thrilled that our dealers are partnering with us to make this promotion possible. SeaArk sells so many boats in regular camouflage patterns, we thought this would be a good way to bring attention to the cause”.
About Susan G. Komen for the Cure®:
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®, we have invested more than $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
