Boats Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it important for a boat to be All-Welded?
All-welded boats are tougher and more durable than riveted boats. They also have fewer places where leaks may develop. Every SeaArk boat is All-welded.
What gauge aluminum is the boat?
SeaArk uses .100 gauge on our 60" bottom boats and smaller and .125 gauge on our 72" bottom boats.
Are the ribs 1 piece or several pieces?
SeaArk uses 1 piece extruded ribs on our 60" bottom boats and smaller and 3 piece oversized ribs constructed from .125 gauge aluminum on our 72" bottom boats. The ribs determine the overall strength of the boat and its durability.
How thick is the keel?
The keel is located on the bottom center of the boat and this area is where the boat usually takes the most abuse. SeaArk uses an extruded 3/16 inch keel.
Are the chines double welded?
SeaArk puts a little extra strength anywhere possible. The chines are welded inside and out on every 72" bottom model.
What gauge floor is used?
SeaArk uses a .125 heavy gauge treadplate floor to eliminate unnecessary popping and give additional strength the overall structure of the boat.
Is there any wood in the boat?
SeaArk uses a composite plastic wood substitute in the transom to prevent rotting. SeaArk uses no wood in the construction of the hull.
Is the boat NMMA certified and what does that mean for me?
All SeaArk recreational boats are built to National Marine Manufacturer Association (NMMA) standards. Boats that bear the NMMA certified logo must pass rigorous third party inspection to ensure that they adhere to not just to U.S. Coast Guard regulations, but also to much more comprehensive American Boat and Yacht Council standards. The NMMA Certification program covers and examines more than 30 catagories of safety standards, which may include: fuel systems; ventilation; passenger and weight capacity; horsepower capacity; flotation; electrical systems; navigation lights; warning label placement and guidelines; and steering systems.
What type of warranty is offered?
SeaArk offers a 5 year Full Warranty against welds and workmanship and a Limited Lifetime Warranty against hull puncture (please see a copy of our warranty for full disclosure of conditions of warranty).
What type of options and accessories are available?
